Stacking the Shelves [59]

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
  • Create your own Stacking The Shelves post. You can use my official graphic or your own, but please link back to Tyngaโ€™s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
  • You can set your post any way you want, simple book list, covers, pictures, vlog, sky is the limit!
  • I am posting Stacking The Shelves on Saturdays, but feel free to post yours any day that fits you.
  • Visit Tyngaโ€™s Reviews on Saturday and add your link so others can visit you!
  • Visit other participants link to find out what they added to their shelves!
If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page!
Before I begin I want to wish Tynga an amazing birthday! Happy birthday, T!
Hello, everyone! It’s been a super long time since I’ve done one of these so I’m excited to be back. There’s a very special reason that I am doing this week’s STS and that’s because I visited BEA last weekend! Yes, you heard right! It was everything I hoped it would be and more and my haul is mouth-watering. I’m exercising as much restraint as I can to finish my current for-review books, but the second they’re done I am diving into this pile and never turning back!
Below is a vlog of me quickly showing you my books, their covers, whether they’re signed, etc. If you want a more detailed and entertaining vlog showcasing my friend, Gillian, who was kind enough to let me crash at her apartment for three nights, than go to my personal blog and check it out here.
Everything with an asterisk is signed! In no particular order, the haul that is making me go nuts for eternity! โค

While at BEA I helped an adult blogger with her suitcase because she was struggling to put her books away. She repaid me by stuffing some random young adult books into my suitcase without showing me what they were. When I opened up my suitcase I learned that I got an extra copy of COLDEST GIRL IN COLDTOWN. So, I’ve decided to give it away! You can enter to win it here! Sorry, but it’s US only. I’m a broke-preparing-for-college girl!

  1. Ah~ I'm so jealous and in awe of your stack! Everyone who went to BEA is so lucky! I will go in the future!!!Here's my STS :)

  2. I was staying with a friend in Manhattan and then I live a 30 minute drive out from NYC so after Saturday I had my Dad pick me up with two suitcases full of books and it really helps when your Dad is 6 foot 3 and able to lift like 80 pounds easily. haha โค

  3. There was an accident with the linky on my part :/There were several people at BEA who are from Australia! They just saved up a lot for their ticket and stayed with friends in NYC for free so it would cost left and then shipping was their big issue. Again, saving up haha Or you can bring an extra suitcase (even if it costs more) and fill it with as many books as you can as long as it does not exceed the weight limit.

  4. I'm okay with breaking the shelves ๐Ÿ˜‰ But prior to going I actually cleared one of my tall, thing bookcases entirely to support BEA books only and they just barely fit, so we're good!

  5. Haha it's my feet that suffered. I'm an ex pitcher so I used to have to weight lift and such so my arms were fine, surprisingly. It helps to have a 6 foot three dad who can easily lift 80 pounds who helped take all the suitcases home haha โค

  6. Happy Birthday, Tynga! And BEA was fantastic, wasn't it? It was my first time, too, and although my feet were KILLING me by Friday, I'd definitely do it all over again! And what a great haul! You got so many that I wanted but couldn't get to. But that's okay, I'll get them someday! ๐Ÿ˜€

  7. Hi Lili, you are so lucky!! Great haul:)Just in case you haven't heard, something is wrong with the linky this week. I couldn't put my name and blog in the name column. It's only letting me put 10 characters. But I see other bloggers have put their entire name, so I don't know what's going on.

  8. Oooooooh wow! So wish I could've gone to BEA!! Luckily I only saw like 1 or 2 books that I am completely and totally envious of! Lots of others that I am jealous of. Cannot wait for Anitgoddess though! Happy Reading! My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by!Have a GREAT weekend!Old Follower ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Loved comparing your BEA list to mine. We had 14 books in common. But I am jealous that you got 6 books that I wasn't able to: The Witch of Little Italy, The Testing, Dare You To, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, The Moon and More, and The Bone Season.BEA was fantastic!!

  10. Oh ma gosh such a massive haul! Good for you for attending BEA this year, happy BDay Tynga, and happy reading! :)follower

  11. Whoa — I don't know how you managed that without cloning yourself. I got maybe half that many books and I was running around from event to event like a crazy person.Sorry we missed each other ๐Ÿ˜ฆ but you'll be nearby and we'll meet up this summerโ€ฆYou can find me here: Jen @ YA Romantics

  12. Wow, what a haul! I look forward to hearing about all the BEA books, and you're a stronger person than I am, I would totally have to read the new pretty ones ๐Ÿ˜‰ Happy reading ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. One of these days I plan on going to a book convention. They never seem to be close enough and with being in the military and moving around, if I'm going to spend a bunch of money on a plane ticket, I'm gonna go home to visit family and friends. Hopefully I get lucky and our next base will be near a convention site. Can't wait to see all of your upcoming reviews :)Kristin @ Book Sniffers Anonymous

  14. WOW! I am so incredibly jealous! Those sound like great books! Going to BEA is on my bucket list (along with going to NYC in general b/c I've never been there) ๐Ÿ™‚ So maybe I can make a combined trip! Just started following you guys and I love your blog ๐Ÿ™‚ Would appreciate it if you checked out mine as well ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. It looks like we were on a lot of the same lines. You a few I really wanted to get my hands on, but I was way over-scheduled so missed quite a bit.Now we just need to find time to read all the books. I hope you enjoy!Tammy @ Bo's Book Nook
